MACK MANOR

Though the house is gone,
It will always survive.
The sprit lives on,
It was Buried ALIVE! .

Dave and Laura Mack,

Some wonder if they will be back?

Same with Guy and Michelle Weber,

Many think never say never!

For Dan and Jenny,

Vic, John and Jason,

A long and boring Autumn,

They all will be facin.

Thanks to All

We had a ball,

For the last 10 years,

We helped you face your fears!

A decade of imagination,
A monster congregation.
Lion’s Park was transformed and amazing,
Especially when the Dragon’s mouth was ablazing.

The Vortex with spinning walls,
Buried Alive and scary halls.
Seemed never enough,
Always crafting new stuff.

The patrons kept coming, year after year,
To face what they love and mostly they fear.
A Kastle, a Prison, Pirates and Cowboys,
Area 51, Hollywood Monsters and a Cirkus with toys.

The success was staggering,
Volunteers never laggering.
The village support was generous,
The frenzy we will miss.

Our Farewell We Send,
So Aptly Named:  The (Dead) End.

We Must Bid Adieu,
From the Skelton Crew

MACK MANOR THEATER PRESENTED:

Tinsel Town of Terror

During October, for the 9th year running, Lion's Park in Fox River Grove, was transformed into a haunting, bonechilling  movie set full of despair and doom
A Haunted House for all ages.

The PREMIER  was  6pm on October 19, complete with a red carpet and a pair of ancient Oscars to line the child of the corn maze!   After a spinning Vortex and a gruff greeting by Danimal, you enered into the theater making your way through.

The SHINING girls greeted you next, with Dracula and his 'boodies'.  Can you make your way through the strip hall, pitch black and filled with tubes making it more difficult?

Through the Pyscho shower, pick a door to get to the Snakes on a Plane tunnel entrance.  Exit into the Night of the Living Dead pile of corpses.

Over Camp Crystal Lake and greeted by the IT clowns.  Are they real?  Thrpugh Freddy's boiler and into Frank's room.

Poor CarolAnne, kept warning you, They're back!   But you continure into the Lare of Leatherface and his chainsaw.

Don't forget getting buried Alive in scarabs in the Mummies Tomb!

It takes over 40 volunteers an evening to 'put on' this display.  Many of these 'monsters' are the teenagers who actually benefit from the proceeds.  This provides these young adults with a sense of pride and ownership as they also assist in the construction and tear down of this event.
The Mack Manor Skelton Crew is always recruiting mature 'bodies'
(breathing or not) for assistance.
Teenagers and Adults are welcome.

Attendance has average over 2,000 over the 2 weekends in October.  The event is geared with 2 audiences in mind:  Non-scary is for those families with children under the age of 8 and runs an hour before the 'Scary' hours start.

Non-scary has many lights on, friendly monsters and tour guides for those faint of heart.  Flashlights are also allowed by the kids.

'Scary' is intended for teenagers and adults.  The house is very dark, loud, confusing to navigate and enshrines many live creatures to ensure a scream and more.

All proceeds go to improvement of fields, purchase of sports equipment and to off set the raising costs of insurance for the sports activates for the kids in FRG.

A big Fire Breathing dragon floated down the Fox River during Venetian night!

This same smoke spewing dragon was seen in the Village and Home Coming parades and outside the HAUNTED HOUSE breathing fire and spewing smoke!
